The problem

The space was visually flat and acoustically dead, with no focal point and an awkward level change that collected water after rain.

Our solution

We used the level change as the reason for the feature - a weir edge that turns the fall into the transition, with concealed drainage solving the standing water at the same time.

The approach

Survey and levels first, then 2D drawings and a 3D night-lighting study. Waterproofing and drainage were signed off before any finish material was ordered.
